Making Renewable Energy At Home

support Making Renewable Energy At Home

Whether we like it or not, energy crisis is here and is here to stay. Reason? Our overly dependence on non-renewable energy sources, namely fossil fuels. Non-renewable sources are, of course, limited. It is estimated that fossil fuels will run out in a few decades. What happens then?

Conventional energy sources that we depend on today are limited, but renewable sources on the other hand are, just as the name suggests, renewable which means available in unlimited supply. Think of solar and wind energy.

Solar energy is the most plentiful source of energy available. Wind power is another widely available option. Both alternatives are clean, practically inexhaustible, don’t pollute the environment, and best of all, they are free.

These alternatives are especially suitable for homeowners. Instead of using costly grid electricity, usually made from coal, homeowners can quite easily switch to much more cost effective renewable energy sources. It’s much easier and cheaper to generate your own power than most people think.

How much can you save by making your own electricity? It’s easy to reduce your power bill by up to 80%. If you are really up to it, you can eliminate it completely and live happily ever after off the grid. Wouldn’t it be great to have free electricity?

One of the main reasons why people still don’t use renewable energy sources as much as they should is the cost of the equipment. Granted, pre-made solar and wind power systems for households are not cheap, but as always, there are alternatives. Believe it or not, it’s not that difficult to do it yourself.

It’s true, you can build your own solar and/or wind power generator, even for less than $200. What you need is an easy to follow step-by-step guide and some D-I-Y skills. It’s really not that hard.

Make Your Own Free Energy Now! Use Wind Energy!

support Make Your Own Free Energy Now! Use Wind Energy!

Wind energy is readily available but wind power is not. Unfortunately, the wind power system has not reached the status of becoming a regular power system. However, the good news is that the concept is picking up.

Why should we care so much about wind power? Wind power is a great solution to our energys problems of supply and pollution. The convention ways of producing electricity make use of the non-renewable fuels, not only making such resources scarce but also affecting the environment negatively. The power generated by wind proves beneficial in the following ways:

Free source of energy – All of the power is generate from wind energy which as we all know comes from wind, something that we can collect for free and generate usable energy from it. No environmental hazards – The generation of wind power is extremely environment-friendly. There are no harmful gasses that may pollute the earth.

Cost-effective ” Once you get the initial costs of a wind energy system out of the way, you wont be paying much to generate this electricity. After installation, youll be generating free energy, thus reducing your energy bills.

Self-dependent source ” Doesnt it make sense for it to be advantageous to have two energy sources, one from your utilities and another straight from you. With a wind power system you are your own energy source.

So how do we make power from wind?

Wind turbines are what makes it possible to create power from wind. Wind turbines takes wind energy and converts it into mechanical energy which can then be converted into electrical energy. A wind generator is then used to convert the energy into electrical useable energy.

What can we use wind power for?

The uses of wind power can power pretty much anything any other power source is used to power. Lets look at some of the popular ones: Running all possible electrical and electronic appliances.

By employing a wind turbine at your home or farm, you definitely make the world a better place. Wind power eliminates or at least reduces the need and dependence of fuel which is one step closer to fixing our energy problems. The now solution is wind and solar energy.

Solar Energy Advantages and Disadvantages

support Solar Energy Advantages and Disadvantages

Knowing the solar energy pros and cons is one of the most important things in deciding whether or not you should buy this source of power. The uses for solar energy are nearly endless, some of the more practical uses are: generating electricity, heating for your house, hot water and cooking

Solar energy comes from rays generated from the sun. Solar energy is very helpful for the environment. However, when the rays emitted from the sun enters earth’s atmosphere, it dilutes quite a bit

We’ll start with the cons. One big disadvantage is that you need the rays to make use of solar energy. If you are situated in a part of this beautiful planet where there is not much sun light then this could be a problem.

Your house roof may not be at a good angle for collecting solar energy, which would make installation on your roof less effective or in some cases, not possible. This can pose a big problem for those wishing to convert to solar energy.

There are many benifits in using solar energy too You pay less overall for solar energy than you do for electric heating. That is one of the biggest advantages of solar energy. Just by using solar energy, you can save a lot of money on heating bills. In return you will get lower electric bills and it also means that you dont have to maintain heaters.

Solar energy can be a great solution if you live in a remote area with no power-lines. There are remote areas where power companies have no means to access your home. Cooking, heating, and electric needs are all solved with the usage of solar energy.

Solar energy is less expensive than electric heating. That is a big advantage of solar energy. By just using solar energy you can save a lot of money on heaters. In return you will get lower electric bills and it also means that you dont have to maintain heaters.

Solar energy can be great for desalination of water, if you are in an area where fresh, drinkable water is scarce. Solar energy evaporates brine and leaves the salt crystals in the bottom of the basin. Water then condenses back into another basin, where it becomes drinkable.

Why You Should Use Green Energy

Fossil fuels have long been crucial to American society. We use fossil fuels to heat our homes, run our cars, and create our electricity. America’s appetite for fossil fuels is increasing dramatically. Consequences of our fossil fuel habit is depleting our resources and killing the planet.

Green energy sources are not a cure but they will help. Green energy sources offer many advantages. Advantages that we will not get without changing our habits. Some argue that green energy is too hard to generate. True as that might be, there are many different types of green energy sources. We just have to identify those that are viable, according to geographic location.

There are various green energy sources available such as solar, wind, wave, hydropower, and geothermal. These energy sources do not produce harmful by products or harm the environment. Results that are a 360 degrees difference from fossil fuels.

Coal you have to remember releases carbon dioxide into the air. On its own, it may not cause that much damage but there are currently 50,000 coal plants around the world and that number is expected to grow.

Nuclear plants may not release anything harmful into the air. The issue is how we dispose of the spend rods and if another nuclear accident should occur. We remember Chernobyl and Three Mile Island. We have probably learned better ways to prevent another incident from happening. Through the years, a few minor accidents have occurred and although the leak was contained, just imagine if it was not?

Green energy sources may not be maintenance free but at least it does not require that much to maintain them compared to conventional means. In the end, we save money because such facilities do not cost that much to operate.

Green energy is renewable. Probably the most important advantage to green energy. Unlike fossil fuels, we will not run out of green energy. Since the beginning of the universe, the Sun’s rays have reached the Earth. As these rays reach the earth they produce wind. Every time we use green energy, we are moving closer to breaking our addiction to fossil fuels.

If you think about it, many of us have taken these green energy sources for granted. If we do the right thing now, future generations will not have to face the mess that we could have handled on our own years before.

Awareness does not always mean change. Daily we are told that global climate change is here. People are told what they should do. Yet, not even the government is building wind mills or erecting solar panels. Who will lead by example?

Green energy sources is the solution to the environmental, political and social problems of this lifetime. By spending more on these technologies, no country will have to depend on another or even a corporation for their power needs because they are self dependent and free.
